So I was wondering what your zodiac animals were? Were you the tiger, the horse, maybe the sheep or rabbit?

I was talking to a lady in China Town a few weeks back about the Zodiac. She had so many interesting things to say, but I told her I didn't believe in it because my animal doesn't match me at all. The Rat is supposed to be all these great things, and have certain flaws, but NONE of the description matches me. I kinda felt like it couldn't be accurate. But then she told me something really odd that changed my mind.

You see, there is a gap between the New years I know and the new years celebrated by the Chinese. During those months, people kinda pick and choose which animal they are. They can be the animal of the previous year, or the animal of the new year. I felt iffy on the topic, but then she told me of the Cat. How he was left out of the banquet and calender. He was sad because he was tricked. But you see, those people born between the years fall under him. Some are rightfully the year previous, some are rightfully the year to come, but some just don't fit in at all, and that is when the Cat becomes their Zodiac. She told me that since I was born at the changing of the years, that I probably fall under the sign of the poor cat. Whether she was right or not, I like having the Cat as my Zodiac sign, it finally makes me feel like I fit in somewhere, even if it was under the animal left out.
